Accounts
You need an account to buy a course or subscription. You are responsible for the email address you enter and for keeping the login to yourself. Course access is tied to that account. Sharing logins, copying course files, or reselling access is not allowed. We may suspend an account that is used that way, or that we cannot bill because the payment method fails and is not updated.
Virtual courses
Courses are virtual. You are buying access to online training, not a physical book or a mailed packet. Access is granted to the account after payment is accepted. You are responsible for having a working device and internet connection. Course descriptions on the site are the outline of what you are buying. Access is for your own training and may not be shared, copied, or resold.
Subscriptions
Some exam-prep plans renew on the interval you pick at checkout, such as one month, six months, or one year. The price shown for that plan is the recurring charge, and sales tax is added at checkout when it applies. You authorize us to charge the payment method on file at each renewal until you cancel. You can cancel from your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not extend or refund the period you have already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, the subscription can be placed on hold and access paused while the payment is retried or until you pay the open renewal. We do not cancel a subscription solely because one renewal attempt failed.
Refunds
Virtual course purchases and subscriptions are final once payment is accepted and access is granted. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits for a change of mind, unused time, or a course you do not finish. This matches our refund policy at beaconmaritimetraining.com/refund-policy/. If a technical problem on our side blocks access, contact info@beaconmaritimetraining.com and we will work on access rather than treat that as a refund request.
Maine law applies to these terms, except where a consumer rule requires otherwise. We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page.
